And after a week there, in May with my husband and 3 years old son, I must say that the bad reviews are totally groundless and unfair.
Iberostar Rosehall Jamaica perfectly matches the requisites of the 5 star all inclusive resorts in Caribbean and one of the best of this type that I’ve visited on the last years, and they were a few.
Some reviewers mentioned that the staff was not very nice compared with other Caribbean countries. This is so not true. Of course they were not submissive (like some hotel staff I encountered in my trips, which I hated) but this is a great aspect!
I found them absolutely wonderful! Very professional, totally friendly, polite, always answering you back with a big smile and asking how was our stay going and if we needed any help. They put a lot of effort in making us feel good. The entertainment crew was always chatting with visitors and they were absolutely fantastic on their music performances. We even had a beach party one night with reggae music!
The food had great quality with a wide range of options. Ranging from pastas cooked on your own selection of ingredients to grilled food and some Jamaican traditional plates. So whatever your food taste is you will find something that pleases you. The Japanese restaurant was great!
The beach was amazing with lots of chairs (we never had any difficulty on finding places) and lots of shadows.
In sum a great place to go to when choosing all inclusive resorts. And complies with the ratio of quality/price that Iberostar always gives.
When reviewing one should never forget that a comparison should be made with the same standard hotels chains and on this category this is really a 5 star.
